Volunteer
Dogwit volunteers are passionate about dogs, are outgoing and friendly and want to help dog guardians develop wonderful relationships with their pets. Volunteers assist in our Group Classes in programs such as Good Puppy and Good Dog. Volunteers help with classroom set up and take down and are essential in supporting our students.

Become a Trainer
Dog training can be a tricky industry to get into - on one hand it is unregulated so anyone can say they are a dog trainer, but on the other hand most certification programs need you to prove your training hours before you can write your exams. It’s a industry that desperately needs more motivated and properly trained professionals who have a thorough understanding of the science behind behaviour and the ethics in training. You can read about how our training works here.
At Dogwit we decided to make it easy for people who are interested in the industry to get the right information. Our apprentices are self-directed learners and work through books and videos at their own pace to learn the theory side of behaviour and training and regularly volunteer in our classes to gain hands on experience.
Requirements for becoming an apprentice are as follows:
18 years or older
Able to volunteer in group classes once per week (Tuesday or Thursday evenings to start)
Love dogs!
Able to complete self-directed learning and book/video reports
If you are interested in becoming an apprentice with DOGWIT please email info@dogwittraining.com.
